U.S Biomass Tax Credit

Uncle Sam is lending a hand in 2011 to help you control your heating costs by using renewable fuel sources. You can save energy costs and contribute to a greener Earth by heating all or part of your home with biomass fuels.

The U.S. Federal government is offering tax credits for homeowners who purchase qualifying wood- and pellet-burning appliances between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011. Homeowners who purchase a 75%-efficient biomass (wood or pellet) burning stove, fireplace or insert during 2011 can receive a U.S. federal tax credit for 10% of their cost, up to $300.
